Gog & Magog Invade
Unwalled Villages
Part I
Who is "Gog
and Magog"?
Eze.
38:1 |
And the
word of the LORD came unto me, saying, |
[Verses
2-6 are names from sons of Japeth–
Gen. 10–Europe and Western nations] |
Eze.
38:2 |
Son
of man, set thy face against Gog,
the land of Magog,
the chief prince of Meshech
and Tubal,
and prophesy against him, |
Eze.
38:3 |
And say,
Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog,
the chief [Rosh]
prince of Meshech and Tubal: [These
were territories in ancient Russia.] |
Eze.
38:4 |
And I
will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and
I will bring thee forth,
[Note: Gog, Russia,
is heading toward Western Europe, but is turned around to
invade Israel for a spoil.]
and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them
clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company
with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: |
Eze.
38:5 |
Persia
[Iran],
thiopia
[Ancient Ethiopia included Sudan which is now an Islamic
Fundamentalist State],
and Libya [Phut]
with them; all of them with shield and
helmet: |
Eze.
38:6 |
Gomer [eastern
part of Georgia],
and all his bands [migrated
from
Russia as far west as Germany; can include Europe];
the house of Togarmah [Turkey and
Armenia] of the north
quarters, and all his bands [Islamic
Republics east of Caspian Sea are from Turkman Tribes.
Islamic Independent States are now friendly with Israel,
but this could change by the time of Gog's invasion]:
and many people with thee. |
Eze.
38:7 |
Be thou
prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy
company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard
unto them. |
Part II
Where and When
does
Gog's invasion take place?
Eze.
38:8 |
After
many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years
[at
the end times] thou
shalt come into the land that is brought back from the
sword, and is gathered out of many people,
against the mountains of Israel, which have been
always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations,
and they shall dwell safely all of them. |
Eze.
38:9 |
Thou shalt
ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to
cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with
thee. |
Eze.
38:10 |
Thus saith
the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same
time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an
evil thought: |
Eze.
38:11 |
And thou
shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages;
I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all
of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor
gates,
[A time yet future
when Israel has secured borders–may occur after next
Arab-Israeli war which may bring peace-keeping troops into
land.] |
Part III
Why do "Gog
and Magog"
invade Israel?
Eze.
38:12 |
To take
a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the
desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people
that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten
cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.
[What could be the
spoil? Perhaps the mineral wealth of the Dead Sea which is
the greatest concentration of mineral wealth in the world.
Every precious metal, including those necessary for space
age technology, are found in the Dead Sea. At this time
extraction is economically prohibited. This will change
after the completion of the Med-Dead Channel, which is
necessary to replenish the ecological disaster caused by the
dangerously low level of the Dead Sea caused by extensive
diversion of the waters of the Jordan River. The tremendous
surge of power created by the free fall of the waters of the
Med-Dead Channel will create cheaper electricity to
facilitate the electrolysis process for the extraction of
all the various minerals.] |
Part IV
Who is watching
the invasion?
Eze.
38:13 |
Sheba,
and Dedan,
[Great
commercial centers] and the merchants
of Tarshish
[the first great
commercial traders in Western
Europe. Sheba, Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish are
probably symbolic of the great capitalistic nations of the
world–Europe and the U.S. Notice, they are not part of
Gog's invading forces.],
with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art
thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy
company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to
take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil? |
Part V
What happens?
Eze.
38:14 |
Therefore,
son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord
GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth
safely, shalt thou not know it? |
Eze.
38:15 |
And thou
shalt come from thy place out of the north parts,
thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon
horses, a great company, and a mighty army: |
Eze.
38:16 |
And thou
shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud
to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days,
and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen
may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog,
before their eyes. |
Eze.
38:17 |
Thus
saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in
old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which
prophesied in those days many years that I would bring
thee against them? |
Eze.
38:18 |
And it
shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come
against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my
fury shall come up in my face. |
Eze.
38:19 |
For in
my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken,
Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in
the land of Israel [compare
with the great earthquake in Rev. 16:18]; |
Eze.
38:20 |
So that
the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and
the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that
creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the
face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the
mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall
fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground. |
Eze.
38:21 |
And I
will call for a sword against him throughout all my
mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man’s sword
shall be against his brother. [Anarchy–the
worst phase of the time of trouble takes place in Israel.] |
Eze.
38:22 |
And I
will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and
I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the
many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and
great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. |
A
possible scenario . . .
The
invasion of Gog and Magog occurs when Israel is dwelling
in peace. This will be after another Arab-Israeli war,
in which Israel will gain land east of the Jordan
River, Gaza and Lebanon, according to scriptures.

Other scriptures
identify that at the time Israel is dwelling in
safety, she sins against the Lord and her "lovers"
leave her.
When
is Gog's Invasion?
Eze.
39:25,26 |
Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again
the captivity of Jacob and have mercy upon the
whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my
holy name. After that they have born their
shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have
trespassed against me, when they dwelt
safely in their land, and none made them afraid. |
After
Israel has returned to their homeland, and after
they come to the point of dwelling safely and none
make them afraid, they will commit a great sin
and be punished with the invasion of Gog (Eze.
38:11). This has not yet happened.
Jer.
30:10 |
Therefore
fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD;
neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will
save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of
their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and
shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall
make him afraid. [Same as dwelling safely in
unwalled villages–Eze. 38:11.] |
Jer.
30:11 |
For
I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee:
though I make a full end of all nations whither I
have scattered thee, yet I will not make a full
end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure,
and will not leave thee altogether unpunished. |
Jer.
30:12 |
For
thus saith the LORD, Thy bruise is incurable, and
thy wound is grievous. |
Jer.
30:13 |
There
is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be
bound up: thou hast no healing medicines. |
Jer.
30:14 |
All
thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee
not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an
enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for
the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins
were increased. When all Israel’s lovers
[friendly nations] forsake her, Israel is
committing a great sin. |
The
sin Israel commits when dwelling in safety may be in
trusting their security to Western nations to keep peace
disarmament in the Middle East–instead of trusting in
the arm of the Lord. For some reason, the Western nations
[the merchants of Tarshish and their young lions] are in
Israel–perhaps keeping peace in a demilitarized zone.
But
her "lovers" [the forces keeping peace
in her midst] forsake Israel. When they see invading
forces coming
for a spoil, they cease defending Israel and attempt to
take the spoil for themselves.

Part VI
The Result
Eze
38:23 |
Thus
will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be
known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know
that I am the LORD. |
A miraculous deliverance will be brought to Israel
when God fights for them as "in the days of
battle."
Zec.
14:1 |
Behold,
the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall
be divided in the midst of thee. |
Zec.
14:2 |
For
I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to
battle; and the city shall be taken, and the
houses rifled, and the women ravished [the
churches will be destroyed]; and half of the city
shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of
the people shall not be cut off from the city. |
Zec.
14:3 |
Then
shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those
nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. |
The Lord's spirit will be
poured upon Israel and the Lord will be sanctified in
Israel before many nations.
Eze.
39:27 |
When I have
brought them again from the people, and gathered
them out of their enemies' lands, and am
sanctified in them in the sight of many nations; |
Eze.
39:28 |
Then shall they
know that I am the LORD their God, which caused
them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but
I have gathered them unto their own land, and have
left none of them any more there. |
Eze.
39:29 |
Neither will I
hide my face any more from them: for I have
poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith
the Lord GOD. |
